The Mantuan String Quartet can play for corporate events, formal dinners and any other type of event where you might like to impress and entertain your guests. Below are some of the type of events where a string quartet can add that extra special something:

Some answers to your questions....
What type of music will you play?
The musicians will usually select music from their repertoire appropriate to your event. For some events, this will mean an entirely classical selection, others mainly lighter/pop music, but for most we find a general mixture is most appropriate. If you have an idea about the type of music you would like, or have any specific requests, please do let us know. Music listed on our repertoire list can usually be requested on the day, but for any additional requests, please ask well in advance.

Where will you play?
Geographically, the quartet is happy to travel to Bristol, Bath, Somerset, South Gloucestershire (including the Cotswolds), as well as West Wiltshire, parts of Devon and Dorset and South Wales. Travel to your location will be included in any quoted fee.
At your venue, the quartet are happy to be placed wherever you think best for the benefit of your guests. They will need only a suitable flat space to sit with adequate light and four armless chairs (plus somewhere out of sight to store instrument cases). There is no need for any amplification or microphones.
The quartet is happy to play outside, but this is very much weather dependent. If it is raining or colder than 12 degrees, then this will not be possible. In fine weather, a shady spot (or cover in the form of a gazebo) will be required to protect the instruments from direct sun. The quartet owns a gazebo, and this can be provided given advance notice.

How long will you play for?
The minimum hire period is 2 hours. Most clients opt for either 2 or 3 hours, which is ample for most events, although the quartet can play for longer if required. The Mantuan Quartet's fees are very reasonable and compare very favourably with other quartets. Please contact us for a bespoke quote.
